Four eye-catching guest beers have arrived at the beer pub Taru Taru in Kawaramachi, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. The post introduces them as companions for hanami, making this a lineup that invites you to compare them as your spring drink of choice.

First up is UCHU BREWING's 'MARS'. This DDH IPA uses plenty of Motueka, Citra, and Rakau, and is characterized by a fresh aroma reminiscent of pineapple and lime, along with the firm bitterness you'd expect from an IPA.

Off Trail's 'EMBERS OF LOST SOULS' is a sour porter aged for 19 months in wine oak barrels and blended with sour cherry and raspberry. Layers of berry, plum, roast, and cacao are joined by acidity from the fruit, making it sound like a beer with serious depth.

Inkhorn Brewing's 'Gouldian' is a clear IPA made with generous amounts of Citra T-90 and Citra Cryo harvested in 2025. Citrus notes like grapefruit are joined by tropical nuances reminiscent of underripe mango and a subtle lychee character. The style is West Coast IPA.

In addition, Inkhorn Brewing's 'Bulbul' is a light, easy-drinking beer that brings berry acidity and fruitiness to the forefront. It has berry and vanilla notes reminiscent of young red wine, and is introduced as a collaboration beer with Vertere.
