254BeeR Taps a New 9% “TRIPEL,” Bringing a Strong Belgian-Style Pour
Yokohama’s Hakuraku brewpub 254BeeR announced the serving of a new Belgian Tripel in an Instagram post. At 9% ABV, it is being presented as a fruity pour with aromas reminiscent of banana and pear, along with a melon-like flavor.
At 254BeeR, the brewpub just a one-minute walk from Hakuraku Station in Yokohama’s Kanagawa Ward, the limited beer TRIPEL (Belgian Tripel) has newly joined the lineup. According to the post, it comes in at 9% ABV.
Built with the depth you’d expect from a high-alcohol Belgian-style beer, its aroma is designed to evoke banana, pear, and even melon. The flavor is fruity with a clean sweetness, giving it an easygoing character that makes it easy to keep drinking. It’s the kind of beer you’d want to take your time with on a weekend when you want something that really warms you up.
The same post also showed the full tap lineup inside the bar. The regular beers are S54 (Saison), Hakuraku IPA (IPA), Sheep & Sheep (Hazy IPA), and Utatane (Dry Hopped Saison). On the limited side, in addition to this TRIPEL, there are CORIANDER SAISON (Saison), STOUT (Stout), and AFTER 8 (Belgian Dark Strong Ale). From robust Belgian styles to hoppy IPAs and saisons that stay easy to drink, it’s a lineup with plenty of room for tasting comparisons.
The business is a brewpub attached to a brewery. Built around its own house-brewed beer, 254BeeR’s strength is that you can choose a style to match your mood or your meal that day. For beer fans in the Hakuraku area who want to say, “Today I want something aroma-focused” or “Next I want to finish with something higher in ABV,” this is an update worth checking out.
