Limited 88 Lager at 254BeeR in Hakuraku
254BeeR, a brewpub just a one-minute walk from Hakuraku Station, has released a limited beer called 88 Lager. This batch is brewed at 4.5% ABV, lighter than last year’s 5.5% version and tuned for a cleaner, more refreshing finish.
According to the brewery, the beer brings a slightly spicy mouthfeel and moderate bitterness, while a generous dose of American Noble Hops Citra adds a steady lime-like citrus aroma. It is the kind of lager that fits the late-summer heat and helps ease thirst without feeling heavy.
The brewery says August marks its 8th anniversary. There is no special event planned, but the beer will be available during normal operating hours. The shop is closed on August 3 and August 11, and the stated hours are 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm on weekdays, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm on Saturdays, and 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Sundays and public holidays. The venue also notes a limit of four people per group.
The current tap list includes core beers S54, Hakuraku IPA, Sheep & Sheep, and Utatane. The limited selection is led by 88 Lager, alongside Brick Tone, Sour IPA, and BLACK SHEEP. It is a lineup that invites side-by-side tasting at a small brewpub built around fresh beer served close to the source.
