Komatsu Brewing will make an out-of-prefecture appearance at the East Japan Craft Beer Summer Festival, held on Aug. 1-2 at Marumaru Higashi Nihon in Omiya Ward, Saitama City. The festival will feature 11 breweries from across eastern Japan, along with a range of food and snack options.

Bringing Komatsu's identity to Omiya

Komatsu Brewing opened on Nov. 8, 2025, as the first craft beer brewery in Komatsu City, Ishikawa. The brewery is set in a historic townhouse and focuses on beers that reflect the local character of Komatsu, using ingredients from the area as well as water from the Hokuriku region.

In its Instagram post announcing the event, the brewery said it would bring terrine from `@inosisi.jp` as an accompaniment to its beer. That detail suggests the brewery is not just sending beer to the festival, but also presenting a broader taste of Komatsu through a food pairing.

Marumaru Higashi Nihon, the venue near Omiya Station, will host the festival from noon to 8:00 p.m. on both days. For beer fans, it offers a chance to sample a wide range of eastern Japanese breweries in one place, while also seeing how a young brewery from Ishikawa presents itself outside its home prefecture.
