Golden Rabbit Beer to Join Nara’s Kikusui Festival at Kikusuiro
Golden Rabbit Beer announced that it will take part in Kikusui Festival at Kikusuiro in Nara on August 9. The event is expected to bring together 20 vendors, about twice as many as last year.
Golden Rabbit Beer is a craft brewery based in Higashiterabayashi-cho, Nara City. The brewery focuses on beers made with local Nara ingredients, and its taproom sits below the brewhouse. Music played from records is also part of the experience there.
In its Instagram post, the brewery said it will join Kikusui Festival at Kikusuiro on Sunday, August 9, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will feature a range of Nara-related food and culture programs, including a "time-travel cafe" project with Nara Women's University and Kikusuiro, plus family-friendly attractions. The post also notes that around 20 vendors will gather this year, roughly double last year’s number.
Golden Rabbit Beer was founded with the idea of welcoming visitors to Nara through craft beer. By brewing with local ingredients and taking part in community events, the brewery has continued to connect its beers with the city’s culture and everyday life. An appearance at a historic venue like Kikusuiro fits naturally with that approach.
- Date: Sunday, August 9
