A limited summer release
Kochi Campagne Brewery, based in Kahokucho Hashikawano, Kami City, Kochi Prefecture, is set to release a seasonal beer called Guava Tropical Hazy IPA on July 9. The beer will also be shipped as a reservation item starting July 9 through the brewery's online store. It is priced at 1,000 yen and was brewed as a one-time batch in a small tank, with only about 330 bottles available.
Guava takes the lead
According to the brewery, the beer is built on its popular TOSACO beer Arigatosako, then reworked into a more tropical Hazy IPA. It features guava grown in Kochi, along with aromas reminiscent of mango and coconut. The recipe uses oats and wheat as well, giving the beer a soft, juicy mouthfeel that fits the style.
A TOSACO-style beer rooted in local ingredients
Kochi Campagne Brewery has long focused on beers that highlight local ingredients from Kochi, guided by the ideas of regional sourcing, regional circulation, and craftsmanship. That approach has shaped TOSACO's lineup, from yuzu and bushukan to tomato-based beers. This guava release continues that same line of work: a beer that reflects the region, its growers, and the season.
For drinkers looking for a summer hazy IPA with fruit-driven aroma and a limited release story, this is a straightforward but distinctive seasonal offering from one of Kochi's most local-minded breweries.
