MAHOWBREW "Depths of Muspelheim" Tapped at Sakura Taps in Yokohama
On April 28, MAHOWBREW's "Depths of Muspelheim" was newly tapped at Sakura Taps, the beer pub in Yokohama's Yoshidamachi. A malt-driven, satisfying beer that layers caramel toastiness with smoky peat. The shop offers a calm space with eight rotating taps each day and coffee.
New Tap
On April 28, Sakura Taps newly put "Depths of Muspelheim / MAHOWBREW" on tap. Rich, sweet malt aromas are layered with the toasty aroma of deep caramel and gently rising smoky peat nuances, making for a substantial, medium-full-bodied beer with real heft.
Pairing with Food
That day, the previously out-of-stock "Pork Heart and Celery Arrabbiata" was also remade. Its offal-derived savoriness and spice seem like a good match for the beer's malt character and peat aroma. Though grounded and weighty in flavor, it remains approachable as a beer to enjoy with food, which is part of this label's appeal.
The Atmosphere
Sakura Taps is a beer pub located in Hanasakicho, Naka Ward, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Situated on the second floor on Yoshidamachi's Nora-neko Street, the interior has a calm atmosphere. Craft beer is offered on eight rotating taps every day, and hand-drip coffee is also available, making it an easy spot not only for people who want to savor beer slowly, but also for those who want to relax over a meal.
On this day, business opened at 15:00 and closed at 23:30. On Tuesdays, the shop is staffed by just Nuts Ojisan and Chiharu, so it seems like a good place to stop by for a drink on an evening before the long weekend.
