Matsudo Beer, a craft brewery based in Matsudo, Chiba, has announced its autumn event schedule and two seasonal releases. The brewery is continuing its local-focused approach with festival appearances and beers made using fruit from a nearby citrus farm.

The fourth Matsudo Beer Festival

Matsudo Beer Festival with Bar-Hopping will run from October 30 through November 3 on the west-exit deck of JR Matsudo Station, immediately outside the ticket gates. Matsudo-affiliated breweries and breweries that have joined the festival during its previous three editions are expected to gather for what Matsudo Beer describes as the fourth and final festival of the year.

The station-side setting offers beer fans an easy way to sample different local breweries while enjoying the autumn season in Matsudo.

Appearance at Ueno’s Kakうち Festival

From November 6 through November 8, Matsudo Beer will also participate in the annual Kakうち Festival at the fountain plaza area of Ueno Park. The event brings together a range of distinctive craft beers, making it another opportunity to taste Matsudo Beer outside its home city.

Two seasonal beers featuring local citrus

Matsudo Beer recently redesigned its online shop and added two seasonal beers made with fruit from Udono Citrus Farm in the local area.

Lemon White combines the refreshing aroma of locally grown lemons with the soft, gentle character of wheat malt. Brut Lime highlights the aroma of ripe limes and finishes with a crisp, dry and refreshing profile.

The brewery produces a broad range of beers and fruit-based fermented beverages, including its flagship Matsudo Pale Ale, IPA, Belgian witbier and seasonal releases made with local agricultural products. Its use of regional ingredients reflects its broader mission of expressing the character of Matsudo through beer.

Matsudo Beer’s taproom is about a three-minute walk from the east exit of JR Matsudo Station. Visitors can enjoy freshly made beer with food, while bottled beer is also available for takeaway and nationwide shipping. Beer lovers can find the brewery’s seasonal flavors at the autumn festivals or through the online shop.
