Aoshima Craft said on Instagram that, due to a typhoon, the event dates for the Miyazaki Craft Beer Expo & Midsummer Meat Festival have been changed to August 11-16. The Miyazaki City brewery will pour several of its signature beers at Amu Hiroba.
Aoshima Craft announced on Instagram on August 7 that, because of typhoon-related disruption, the event period for the Miyazaki Craft Beer Expo & Midsummer Meat Festival has been changed from August 7-16 to August 11-16. The brewery will take part at Amu Hiroba in Miyazaki City.
On its official website, Aoshima Craft describes itself as a brewery based in Aoshima, Miyazaki City, making craft ales that "feel like Miyazaki." Its beers are built around local ingredients and a connection to the sea, nature, and regional food culture.
The post lists the beers to be served at the event:
- Aoshima Surf Ale
- Aoshima Turf Ale
- Aoshima Jidori Ale
- Botanical Ale
- Shio Lager
Surf Ale is presented as a refreshing beer inspired by the sea around Aoshima. Turf Ale highlights the aroma of Earl Grey, while Jidori Ale uses Miyazaki-grown hebesu citrus. The lineup also includes Botanical Ale, brewed with ingredients such as wasabi and sansho pepper, and Shio Lager, a collaboration with Mitsuhiro Tsumoto of the Tsumoto-style fish aging method.
The event will also feature DJ and music programming, making it a place where beer, food, and sound come together. For fans of Miyazaki craft beer, this is a notable summer appearance from a brewery rooted in the local landscape.
