Egre Brewery unveils limited beer for Kyoto After-Bath Craft Beer Festival 2026
Egre Brewery in Himeji City has unveiled the limited beer “Orchard / オーチャード” that it will serve at the Kyoto After-Bath Craft Beer Festival 2026. The fruit ale, inspired by the cocktail “Valencia,” will join the limited tapping lineup starting at 5 p.m.
Egre Brewery (Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture) announced on Instagram that it would be providing beer for the Kyoto After-Bath Craft Beer Festival 2026, posting, “Limited special beer announcement for 5 p.m. and later!” The post says that special beers from 24 breweries will be tapped all at once in a limited release starting at 5 p.m., and Egre Brewery appears as No. 10.
The beer unveiled this time is “Orchard / オーチャード.” Its style is fruit ale, and its ABV is 5.0%. Brewed with the cocktail “Valencia” in mind, it is said to offer a clean orange-led finish followed by a sweet apricot aftertaste. It also says that adding brandy as the liquid temperature rises gives the beer a cocktail-like character, allowing drinkers to enjoy a flavor that still feels like craft beer while carrying the atmosphere of a cocktail.
The Kyoto After-Bath Craft Beer Festival 2026 is scheduled to be held over two days, May 2 and 3, 2026, at the Fushimi Rikino-Yu futsal court in Fushimi, Kyoto. Admission is free, food and drink are ticket-based, and the event is set up as a GW staple where visitors can enjoy beer on the grass. A pre-event will also be held on April 25 and 26 at the Kyoto City Hall Square, but the post says that special beers will not be served at the pre-event.
For the Himeji brewery, this limited beer is one with a clearly defined flavor design even among the event’s overall tap list reveal. A fruit-forward fruit ale layered with cocktail inspiration should broaden the enjoyment of tasting beers side by side at the venue.
