In a Friday, April 24 post, Beer Bar Festa Shimokitazawa introduced today's draft beer lineup. Along with the convenience of opening at 6 p.m. and staying open until 4 a.m. on Fridays, the shop added BrewDog's 'Double Hazy Jane' as a new tap that day. It is described as a 'more, more' version of the standard 'Hazy Jane,' making it a must-see for anyone looking for a hefty hazy IPA.

The day's draft beers included, from Japan, Open Air's 'Good Times,' Shiga Kogen's 'Fresh Hop Grisette,' Setouchi's 'Cherry & Strawberry,' Forest's 'Bonfire Dunkel,' and the regular 'Heartland.' The overseas lineup featured Burnt Mill's 'Crimson Highway,' Threes's 'Between the Lines,' DDC!'s 'Don de Lucan,' Silver City's 'Heffaweizen,' and Thornbridge's 'Double Green Mountain.'

The beer pub is on the 5th floor near Shimokitazawa Station, and pairs its 12 taps of craft beer with bottled beers, house-made sausages, and beef tendon stewed in beer. It is easy to drop by for a solo drink at the counter, and the table seating makes it easy to stay awhile with darts. The printer was malfunctioning so the menu still hadn't been posted, but today's taps were clearly confirmed in the post. It's a spot that can handle anything from a casual first drink to a late-night second round.
