HAZY LABO to Hold Hands-On "HAZY ACADEMY" During GW, from 5/2 to 5/5
HAZY LABO in Shin-Sayama, Sayama City, Saitama, will hold a hands-on event called "HAZY ACADEMY" during Golden Week (GW). The lineup is packed with things Hazy fans will love, from brewery tours and tastings straight from fermentation tanks to hop aroma comparisons and a blending experience with Asahi Beer.
At the tasting room of HAZY LABO, a brewery in Shin-Sayama, Sayama City, Saitama, the hands-on event "HAZY ACADEMY" will be held during Golden Week (GW). The venue is the Shin-Sayama tasting room, with a small-group format of 7 people per session. It is reservation-only, and the tasting room will be operating as a private booking during event hours.
What You Can Experience
In addition to a tour of the brewery and detailed explanations, the event includes a tasting directly from the fermentation tank (about 20 ml) and a hop aroma experience. The aroma comparison will feature Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe, allowing participants to check out the aroma design of a Hazy IPA in a hands-on way.
There will also be side-by-side tastings of a beer with lots of suspended yeast and a beer where the yeast has settled, a comparison of a beer made with the rare sugar allulose and one made with lactose, a blending experience with Asahi Beer, and sensory analysis of participant-brought Hazy beers. It is a step beyond a simple tasting event.

- Superdelic (14 months of room-temperature aging)

In addition, the blending experience with Asahi Beer will feature Maruef, Super Dry, and Clear Asahi. The experimental, HAZY LABO-style lineup makes it interesting to see how these standard brands are layered in.

- Participation fee: 8,000 yen (includes two 310 ml glasses of HAZY LABO beer and one snack cracker; beer styles can be chosen)
- Reservation: Accepted via Instagram DM
- Participation condition: Please avoid natto, yogurt, and pickles for 3 days beforehand
- Notes: Photography inside the brewery is allowed; bring one bottle of Hazy for the shared tasting session
