BEER BRAIN BREWERY Taproom (Kashiwa-no-ha Campus) released its "ON TAP TODAY" for December 25. The day starts at 17:00 and closes at 22:00 (L.O. 21:30), with a lineup of 10 beers spanning everything from Kölsch and Italian pilsner to fruit IPA, barley wine, and imperial porter.

Hop BroThe first beer is KASHIWA IBUKI LEAF, a Flesh Hop Kolsch. Starting with a light Kölsch and then layering in some crispness with ITALIAN PILSNER is such a nice flow.
MugiKölsch, huh!? I kind of get pilsner, but Flesh Hop Kolsch sounds like it’s packing way too much information just from the name!
Hop BroKölsch is clean and refined, while pilsner goes even lighter and easier to drink. And ITALIAN PILSNER is a collaboration with Fujizakura Kogen, which is great because you can enjoy that crisp drinkability.
MugiWow! And then they’ve got FREEDOM, a Fruits IPA, plus NAMABRAIN PILS, a Tea Beer too - the range of ingredients is amazing!
Hop BroThe middle of the list goes on with SHIMENOWA, a Herb Lager, THE SWEETEST TABOO, a Fruited IPA, and LET IT BE, a Barley Wine. It’s a smart lineup with a range of temperature and intensity, from light beers to sweeter, richer ones.
MugiBarley wine sounds intense just from the name! And Barley Wine really is something you drink like wine?
Hop BroIt’s still beer, but it’s the kind you sip slowly, with strong malt flavor and a higher alcohol content. The back half brings WELLEMAN, an Imperial Porter, PUMP IT, a Black IPA, and STONE FLOWN, a DDH Hazy IPA, so they’re coming at you from dark roast styles to hazy hops.
MugiJust hearing DDH Hazy IPA makes it sound like the hops are going wild! But if there’s also roast-forward dark beer, then you can indulge in both sweet and bitter.
