BEER HUNTING URAWA Opens Shiga Kogen Beer’s Porter and YUKISHIRO on April 19
BEER HUNTING URAWA will be open on Sunday, April 19 from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and will newly tap Shiga Kogen Beer’s Porter and Brasserie Knot’s YUKISHIRO. In addition to U.B.P BREWERY’s standard taps, the lineup offers a chance to enjoy real ale alongside food.
In a post on Sunday, April 19, BEER HUNTING URAWA (Kita-Urawa) announced hours of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with food last order at 9:00 PM and drinks last order at 9:30 PM. As a craft-beer-focused beer pub, the shop’s strength is a lineup centered on its own brews from U.B.P BREWERY, mixed with labels from across Japan.
The day’s new taps were Shiga Kogen Beer’s Porter and Brasserie Knot’s YUKISHIRO. The Porter was also introduced as a real ale version, served through a hand-pump server. It will likely appeal to anyone who wants to take their time with a dark, mellow beer. YUKISHIRO is a weizen from Brasserie Knot in Hokkaido, and the lineup suggests a soft, easy-drinking profile.
The tap list includes Urawa’s own brewed beers: Kick Off Pils, Step Over IPA, and Bombonera. In addition, TOHOKU PRIDE (BLACK TIDE BREWING), Stuck&Flow (Hop Kotan Brewing), Pray for 3.11 (BLACK TIDE BREWING), and Minamichita Blood Orange IPA (Y.MARKET) are also on the board, making for a wide range from a crisp pilsner to hazy double IPA and fruit IPA.
On the food side, Chef Yoji’s dishes were also highlighted, and the post strongly recommended the “impromptu risotto” made with rice from his family’s rice farm. BEER HUNTING URAWA is the kind of place where you can enjoy not just beer, but a full meal as well. It also says it has been expanding its non-beer drink options, showing a willingness to serve a broad range of drinking styles even as a craft-beer-centered shop.
