Beer House Hobbit taps oak-aged red beer and pilsner
Beer House Hobbit in Hirakata, Osaka tapped Hansharo Beer Brewing's oak-aged Natural Yeast Beer COCOFARM&WINERY-Red and Matsue Beer Hearn's Pilsner on June 13. The lineup also included Shima Brewery and Great Dane Brewing, making it a food-friendly draft selection.
Beer House Hobbit, a beer pub in Kawaramachi, Hirakata, Osaka, is known for fresh draft craft beer and a menu that can carry a full dinner. In its June 13 post, the bar announced two new taps for the day.
Today's new taps
- Hansharo Beer Brewing, Natural Yeast Beer COCOFARM&WINERY-Red: a beer brewed with grape skins used in winemaking, then aged for two years in oak barrels. The result is layered with red-wine-like fruit character, moderate acidity, and gentle tannic grip.
- Matsue Beer Hearn, Pilsner: a clean lager with a crisp finish, soft mouthfeel, and clear malt sweetness. It is positioned as the easy first pint of the night.
The lineup also included Shima Brewery's Karigane Tea Saison and Great Dane Brewing's Everyday IPA, giving drinkers a range from a light, tea-accented saison to a hop-forward IPA.
Food pairing angle
The post also highlighted a seasonal vegetable plate, beef cutlet, thick-cut pork loin steak, sansho-scented grilled chicken, young corn spring rolls, maitake tempura, and even a clam rice finish. That makes Beer House Hobbit a place where beer and dinner naturally go together, not just a quick stop for one pint.
For beer fans in Hirakata, the combination of barrel-aged complexity, a classic pilsner, and a strong food menu makes this tap list worth checking out.
