GROW BREW HOUSE taps salt fruit ale Aid and updates six house beers
GROW BREW HOUSE in Nishikawaguchi announced a new salt fruit ale, Aid, made with amanatsu citrus. The brewpub also refreshed its tap list with six house beers, pairing on-site beer with kitchen dishes in a direct-to-brewery setting.
GROW BREW HOUSE in Nishikawaguchi, Kawaguchi City, Saitama, posted an update on Instagram introducing a new fruit ale called "Aid." The beer uses plenty of amanatsu citrus and adds salt to a lightly acidic profile shaped by lactic fermentation. At 3% ABV, the brewery describes it as a beer that is easy to drink even in midsummer.
At the same time, the tap list was refreshed. The current lineup spans a wide range of styles:
- Against Day / Dark Lager
- POTTERING / Saison
- 平次 / Hazy IPA
- 17AVE / American Rye Ale
- ルナフェイズ / Black IPA
- 単衣仕立て / Cream Ale
The brewpub is directly connected to the brewhouse, so the beer feels close to the people who make it. GROW BREW HOUSE also stands out for having a head brewer who used to work as a chef, and the post highlighted lamb meatballs and hummus alongside 17AVE as a suggested pairing. That food-and-beer connection is part of what gives the place its appeal.
The tap list shows a broad spread, from dark lager and saison to hazy IPA, American rye ale, black IPA, and cream ale. A sensible route would be to start with Aid’s citrus-led brightness, then move into the hoppier or darker beers. With weekend hours starting at 3 p.m., it is an easy stop for an afternoon tasting session.
