The brewpub Asakusa Beer Kobo in Nishi-Asakusa, Asakusa, shared its Sunday business hours on Instagram along with an introduction to four beers from koko BREW TOKYO. The post highlighted the following four labels as beers also available on tap in the store:
- KANPAI ALE
- CRISP LAGER
- HAZY IPA
- RUBY BERRY SOUR
At the time of the post, the shop noted that it was "blazing sunny!" and announced that it would be open on Sundays from 12:00 to 21:30. It also said there would still be seats available after the lunch rush and that it would keep the interior cool while waiting for guests. It is an easy lineup to enjoy during a break from walking around on a hot day or with a drink after getting home.
Asakusa Beer Kobo is a brewpub in the Tawaramachi Station area, known for offering house-brewed beer made on-site alongside guest beers. According to Tabelog, the first floor has a pub-style counter, while the second floor features open table seating, making it convenient for both solo drinkers and groups. Another attractive point is that there is no charge, solo guests are welcome, and private bookings are available by consultation.
On the drinks side, the shop offers not only its own beers but also guest beers, and the post clearly listed the price range. House beer is from 649 yen for a half pint / from 979 yen for a pint, while guest beer is from 979 yen for a half pint / from 1,419 yen for a pint. It also offers all-you-can-drink plans of 60 minutes for 2,500 yen, 90 minutes for 3,000 yen, and 120 minutes for 3,500 yen, making it a good choice for those who want to enjoy a range of craft beers at once.
The food menu includes cheese sticks, edamame, chili con carne nachos, fish and chips, and a two-sausage platter, all well suited to beer. In downtown Asakusa, this is the kind of place to consider when you want to enjoy the atmosphere of a British pub together with craft beer.
