May 11 Tap List

On May 11, Craft Beer Scissors Akihabara posted a tap list summarizing that day's current pours along with a notice about new arrivals. Located in a back alley in Akihabara, the shop is known as a beer pub and bottle shop handling 15 taps and around 200 bottle selections from Japan and abroad, with options for drinking in-house as well as takeaway by growler or plastic cup.

The lineup for the day began with four beers from Nobody Brewing: `The House`, `The Glitch`, `The Folk`, and `The Slowcore`, plus the collaboration `Nobody Brewing×Black Tide Brewing / Tidal Cycles`. Teenage Brewing contributed seven beers: `SHOHEI Zen`, `Sound Clash`, `Second Coming`, `KENYA SANA MATUNDA`, `The Loft Jazz`, `Orange Circle`, and `Turning Dragon`. Also on tap were the collaboration `Heaven 's Age` with Black Tide Brewing and `Holy MORI` with Seoul Brewing. In addition, Good Hops's `MURAKAMI SEVEN Lager` was also on tap.

New Hansharo Beer Cans

The post prominently announced three canned beers from Hansharo Beer at the start. `Yoritomo` and `Tarozaemon` are nitro cans of regular beers named after locally connected historical figures. They are introduced as beers with a creamy mouthfeel. `New World Kölsch` was presented as a easy-drinking beer suited to the spring weather, and being able to choose it not only on tap but also in cans was one of the day's highlights.

In Akihabara, the strength of this shop is being able to keep up with all 15 taps while also taking in the bottle shelves at a glance. Every time you stop by, the day's tap list becomes part of the shop's character. This post, too, neatly captures the appeal of finding a beer that changes from day to day.
