Guests gather at Hikone Station's home platform waiting room at 12:15 p.m., depart at 12:37 p.m., and return to Hikone at 3:01 p.m. after passing through Aichigawa, Yokaichi, Takamiya, and Maibara.
Hikone Brewing opened in 2021 at the foot of Mt. Araojiyama in Hikone City. The brewery says it aims to carry local community ties into the next generation while brewing beers made from 100% Hikone-grown ingredients. Its brewery site, located between Lake Biwa and Mt. Araojiyama, also won the Sustainable Space Award in the 2021 Japan Spatial Design Awards.
The September 5 ride includes one bottle each of Hikonanya Ale and Warunyanko Shogun Lager, plus three draft-beer tickets. Draft pours are scheduled to include Pale Ale, IPA, and Biwako Ale.
