Kochi Campagne Brewery to Release Limited Guava Hazy IPA on July 9
Kochi Campagne Brewery (TOSACO), based in Kami City, Kochi, will launch a limited-edition beer, Guava Tropical Hazy IPA, made with naturally grown guava from Nishikawa Farm in Nankoku City. The beer is a reserved release based on the brewery’s signature hazy IPA and will be produced in a batch of about 330 bottles.
A limited summer release
Kochi Campagne Brewery, known as TOSACO, is a Kami City brewery focused on making beer with ingredients unique to Kochi. Its new release, Guava Tropical Hazy IPA, builds on the brewery’s regular hazy IPA, Arigatosako, and pushes it toward a more tropical profile.
When poured, the beer is said to open with mango- and coconut-like aromas, while guava grown in Nankoku City adds a vivid fruit character. Wheat malt and oats give the beer a soft, juicy texture. It comes in at 7% ABV with a gentle bitterness. Because it was brewed only once in a small tank, the brewery could prepare only about 330 bottles. The price is 1,000 yen including tax.
A beer shaped by its producers
The guava comes from Nishikawa Farm, which grows fruit through natural cultivation without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The farm also works through a form of agricultural welfare collaboration, with people with disabilities helping with careful tasks such as pruning and pest control. That background gives the beer a clear production story, not just a flavor profile.
TOSACO has long positioned itself as a brewery that brings out the character of local Kochi ingredients. Its brewery in Kami City also operates TOSACO TAP STAND, where fresh draft beer can be enjoyed on site. This limited release is scheduled to ship in sequence from July 9, making it a fitting seasonal beer for summer meals such as spicy dishes, fried foods, or salty appetizers.
