CraftBeerSpot Hathor in Osaka-Kyobashi has published its draft beer lineup for August 12. The bar, known for 16 taps and house-smoked dishes, is offering a broad spread of styles, from lager and fruit beer to IPA and dark beer.

The headline pour is Shigakogen Beer’s No.10. Brewed to mark the brewery’s 10th anniversary, this so-called "10th IPA" comes in at 7.5% ABV and 75 IBU, yet is described as surprisingly easy to drink thanks to the use of sake rice. It brings bright hop aroma and firm bitterness, but keeps a clean finish. The recommended special is Firestone Walker’s Primal Elements Blueberry & Marionberry, built from a blend of a barrel-aged wild ale saison, a Flanders red fermented with marionberries, and a lager, then aged for nine weeks with fresh Washington blueberries in French oak foeders.

Other taps include Sapporo Beer’s Black Label, Shimanami Brewery’s First Lager, Shigakogen Beer’s From Scratch Real Ale Ver., Minoh Beer’s Plum Gose, Nomcraft x Choryo’s Wine Not?, Shonan Beer’s Summer Orange Ale, Barebottle’s Potion Crusher and Three Factor Authentication, Flora Fermentation x Umbrella Rib’s Decacorn Tawaki, and Miyazaki Hideji Beer’s Kurikuro. The lineup gives drinkers a clear chance to move from crisp lager to sour ale and on to rich dark beer in one visit.
