On April 24, the brewpub Okei Brewery Nippori in Nippori, Tokyo updated its taps. This time, the lineup was 10 house-brewed beers + 2 guest beers for a total of 12 taps. The staples OKEI IPA and Nippori Kölsch have returned after some time away, making for a lineup that regulars will appreciate.

The setup for the day ranged widely from a crisp lager to hazy styles. The guest slots featured kintama IPL (Kaigan Brewery) and Shonan American Style IPA (Shonan Beer), making it plenty fun for a side-by-side tasting.

The post says OKEI IPA has a refreshing grapefruit-like character and firm bitterness, while Nippori Kölsch is appealing for its clean flavor and malty sweetness. Emphasis is placed on both returning as house staples, so starting with these two seems like a good idea.

On the food side, OKEI easy snack course for 4,500 yen, 5,500 yen course, 6,500 yen course, 8,000 yen course, and 10,000 yen course are listed. All are built around the full beer lineup, and some include Japanese Black wagyu, so this is not just a place for beer alone; it is also a spot where you can genuinely enjoy a meal alongside it.

A day at the Nippori brewpub where you can catch the return of the staples and guest beers all at once. It is a tap lineup that works whether you're there for a tasting session or want the meal to take center stage.
