Galapago Racing in Kaisei Town, Kanagawa, shared on Instagram the brewing details of a triple dry-hopped HAZY PALE ALE featuring New Zealand hop RIWAKA. It is said to finish with citrus and tropical aromas layered with herbal notes.
Galapago Racing introduced on Instagram the brewing of a new HAZY PALE ALE starring the NZ hop "RIWAKA." The post revealed that RIWAKA was added in large amounts through triple dry hopping, and while the initial impressions of aroma and flavor were restrained, the third addition suddenly brought the hop character to the forefront.
The finished impression is said to evoke pink grapefruit, lychee, and kiwi, along with a rosemary-like herbal note. By the stage when it was carbonated and packaged into kegs, the contours of the drinking experience seem to have come together. The post says it should be connected by the end of May, indicating it is expected to be served as a juicy hazy pale ale.
