Craftbeer Sloth House in Tarumachi, Kohoku-ku, Yokohama posted its Sunday service note alongside a fresh tap of Shiga Kogen Beer’s “SNOW MONKEY IPA orange label.” The bar is open from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., though closing may come earlier depending on beer availability. Beer is served in plastic cups, payment is cash only, and outside food is allowed because no food is provided.

The new tap, “SNOW MONKEY IPA orange label,” is described as a Hazy IPA brewed with three hop varieties from the U.S. and New Zealand plus plenty of home-grown Cascade. The profile leans into bright citrus, with Valencia orange and iyokan-like notes, plus a hint of white peach-like tropical character. It is said to finish with firm bitterness and a dry aftertaste, without using any fruit.

The day’s beer list also includes Yokohama Beer’s `Gold Bitter`, West Coast Brewing’s `Firelight`, Minoh Beer’s `PLUM GOSE`, And Beer’s `sumomomo`, Minoh Beer’s `Momo Weizen (early harvest ver.)`, and the new Shiga Kogen tap. That gives drinkers a wide spread of styles in one visit: bitter, West Coast IPA, gose, fruit ale, weizen, and hazy IPA.

As a beer pub with a laid-back standing-service vibe, Sloth House is the kind of place where you can slow down and compare beers carefully. On a Sunday afternoon, it looks set up for drinkers who want variety more than spectacle.
