Michinoku Fukushima Road Beer announced that it will open a booth at "Ueno Sakura Festa 2026," held at Ueno Onshi Park from Saturday, March 14, 2026 to Sunday, April 5, 2026. The craft brewery Michinoku Fukushima Road Beer, based in Fukushima City, Fukushima Prefecture, will take part in a major spring event in Tokyo. This booth will be at Ueno Onshi Park, Hakamagoshi Square, and will run for 23 days from Saturday, March 14, 2026 to Sunday, April 5, 2026. Hours are 10:00 to 22:00, with closing at 21:00 on the final day only.
According to the official announcement, the venue will introduce a new beer prepared for the event. It will also sell peach juice from Fukushima Prefecture, creating a lineup that caters to visitors with both beer and non-alcoholic options. In Ueno during the cherry blossom viewing season, it is putting forward a selection meant to be enjoyed alongside the peak bloom period.
Michinoku Fukushima Road Beer is known as a brewery that emphasizes brewing that makes use of Fukushima's natural environment. On its official website, it highlights its use of water from Mount Azuma, along with efforts in ingredient selection and quality control, bringing its regional identity and commitment to its methods to the forefront. This appearance should also provide an opportunity to directly share that "Fukushima-born" character with Tokyo hanami visitors.
When heading to the venue, avoiding the busy weekend evening hours will make it easier to move around. Since this is a time when more cherry blossom visitors are expected, if you're going for the beer, earlier weekday hours are also a good option.
