Sakazuki Lab to Serve Two Commemorative Beers on the Final Day of Its 10th Anniversary Event
Tokyo's Sakazuki Lab announced that it will offer two special anniversary-brewed beers during business on March 22, the final day of its 10th anniversary event. The stamp rally project drew more participants than expected, so distribution of new cards ended the same day. On the final day, participation will be handled with existing cards.
Tokyo craft beer hub Sakazuki Lab shared the details of the final day of its 10th anniversary event in an Instagram post titled "\u2502⑩th Anniversary Event! Final Day\u2502". The post says the venue will open at 1:00 p.m. on March 22 and announces the tapping of two special anniversary-brewed beers.
The stars this time are <shy daddy> and <shy boy>. <shy daddy> was conceived by Lab manager Koba, and its design highlights the appeal of different pours. In the text, it is introduced as a crisp, American lager-leaning beer, with the gas setup and pouring method emphasized as part of a "drink it dry" experience.
Meanwhile, <shy boy>, devised by Brewing manager Kenta, takes the cocktail Bloody Mary as its theme. Built with tomato puree layered with oregano, basil, chili, and vinegar, it was described in the post as a "drinkable pizza." It can be seen as a beer that challenges how to create culinary flavors within the framework of craft beer.
The same post also announced that the popular "Mission Complete de Gachapon!" campaign would end distribution of new stamp cards because participation had exceeded expectations. The organizers said they would prioritize balancing inventory and distribution, and would continue supporting existing participants.
Sakazuki Lab is a brewery/taproom that has connected local food-and-drink culture with craft beer through collaborations with sister shops and pairing suggestions. Even at the 10-year milestone, it is clear that the brewery goes beyond simple commemorative brewing by folding staff personalities and the customer experience into the beer design itself. The final-day pint should offer a chance to experience where the shop stands today.
