OGA BREWING Suggests One-of-a-Kind Hand-Drawn Beer Labels for Respect for the Aged Day
Mitaka-based OGA BREWING has suggested a craft beer gift featuring a one-of-a-kind hand-drawn label for Respect for the Aged Day. The brewery also announced adjusted opening hours for September 22 and 23, 2026.
OGA BREWING, a brewery and taproom in Mitaka, Tokyo, has introduced a personal way to enjoy craft beer as a gift for Respect for the Aged Day: a beer bottle or package with an original label drawn by the customer.
According to the brewery’s Instagram post, visitors can draw the label at the shop and finish it on the spot. Customers are encouraged to ask the staff for assistance. The idea adds a personal message of appreciation to the beer, creating a gift that cannot be duplicated.
OGA BREWING operates its brewery and taproom in Shimorenjaku, Mitaka. Its lineup includes Mitaka Pale Ale, Mitaka Wheat Ale and KICHIJOJI IPA, a beer inspired by the neighboring Kichijoji area. At the brewery’s taproom, guests can enjoy beer while viewing the brewing tanks, and takeaway options include bottles and growler fills.
The post also outlines this week’s schedule. The taproom will be closed on Tuesday, September 22, even though it is a national holiday, as Tuesday is the regular day off. On Wednesday, September 23, the shop will open early at 11:00 a.m. Regular hours are 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Food last orders are at 7:15 p.m., and drinks at 7:30 p.m.
Visitors looking for a thoughtful gift can choose a beer at the Mitaka taproom and enjoy the extra experience of creating a personal label. Checking the latest opening schedule before visiting is recommended.
