Limited Fruit Ale Made with Sakurajima Small Mikan

On April 28, Hifumiyo Brewing will release Sakurajima Mikan Ale in collaboration with D&DEPARTMENT KAGOSHIMA. This beer is a low-alcohol fruit ale with an ABV of 4.5%. It is a bottle designed to be easy to pick up and easy to drink casually.

The ingredients use small mikan from Hirunotsuki Fruits, which has been growing citrus in Matsuura on Sakurajima for over 120 years. The post also introduces the fact that they have large old trees more than 100 years old and cultivate in harmony with nature. In addition, using off-grade small mikan provided by D&DEPARTMENT KAGOSHIMA in craft beer is a distinctive feature of this collaboration.

The label features art by Na-Natsumi. The result is a cute design with d marks lined up in a rhythmic pattern. The sales location is D&DEPARTMENT KAGOSHIMA on the 4th floor of Maruya Gardens. As a microbrewery in Shinyashiki, Kagoshima City, Hifumiyo Brewing continues to make beer in a small-batch, many-variety style, drawing on local ingredients and connections with people. This release, where local citrus, design, and brewing overlap, is one that makes you feel the closeness of Kagoshima's food culture and craftsmanship.
