Tokyo's Sakaduki Brewing in Adachi Ward announced an IPA-focused event at its sister venue, Sakaduki Lab, on August 19. Held at the Kitasenju East Exit location, about a four-minute walk from the station, the tap takeover runs from the 19th until the beers sell out.
A broad IPA lineup
The lineup centers on the brewery's own legacy IPAs, including the staff farewell beer `hangover`, plus `Stardust` in both old and new batches, `Twilight`, `after the rain`, `hangover!`, and the guest classic `Punk IPA`. Some kegs have been aged for months, giving the beers a rounder malt profile alongside hop aroma.
Food pairing
To match the beers, the bar prepared buffalo chicken wings made from low-temperature-cooked chicken wings that are fried and coated in a spicy-sour sauce. Bottled Asahi `Akaboshi` is also available as a chaser.
Main brewery hours
The main Sakaduki Brewing location is open from 4 p.m. The brewery says there are no other August special openings, and the next brewing and food-pairing day is scheduled for September 2.
