HOP MAN taps Minoh Beer’s Kokusan Peach Weizen, Wase edition
HOP MAN, a beer pub in Chigasaki’s Jokkensaka district, has tapped Minoh Beer’s Kokusan Peach Weizen - Wase Ver. Made with Arakawa peaches from Hakki Farm in Wakayama, it blends classic weizen yeast character with fresh peach aroma.
New tap
HOP MAN in Chigasaki has added Minoh Beer’s "Kokusan Peach Weizen - Wase Ver." to its guest taps. The beer uses Arakawa peaches from Hakki Farm in Wakayama and is the first release in a seasonal series. This opening batch is made with the early-season Wase variety, which is described as more restrained in aroma but elegant and fresh in character.
In the glass, the beer brings together the clove and banana notes typical of weizen yeast with a bright, juicy peach aroma. The mouthfeel is soft, while sweetness stays in check. The result is a fruit beer that still feels recognizably like beer, with enough balance to stay refreshing rather than dessert-like.
The brewery plans to release four peach varieties in sequence: Wase, Hakuhou, Shimizu, and Kawanakajima Hakutou. Each location receives only one bottle, and HOP MAN is serving it in a single 300 ml size with a limit of one glass per person per day. For regulars who follow the pub’s changing taps, it is the kind of seasonal guest beer that makes the timing of the visit part of the appeal.
