Tap lineup for April 23

Craft Beer Scissors Akihabara has published its updated tap list for April 23. The main focus is Yatsugatake Takedown, with a wide range of beers on offer, from lagers to wheat beers and fruit-forward pours: Pilsner, Dunkel, Kiyosato Lager, Rock Weizen, Rock Dry-Hopped Weizen ver. 2, Weizenbock, Yamanashi Peach Weizen, Rock Helles, and Fresh Yuzu Lager.

Notable pairings

- Yatsugatake Takedown x Serverland Akasaka-mitsuke x Scissors Akihabara / 102 x 69 ~Roggen Roll~
- Yatsugatake Takedown x Kyoto Brewing / Wanpaku Kozou
- RePubrew / AGE AGE SAME AGE

The two beers released under collaboration credits, in particular, show connections that are uniquely meaningful to this shop. Roggen Roll is a three-way collaboration, and it also lends itself to tap-takeover-style enjoyment. Wanpaku Kozou is a collaboration with Kyoto Brewing, and is built to show a different side from Yatsugatake Takedown's standard lineup.

There is also a new arrival from RePubrew: AGE AGE SAME AGE. The post explains that the Czech-style dark lager, which had already been tapped early, has now arrived in cans, making it a beer craft fans will want to check out. The atmosphere of the post also conveyed that, despite it being a weekday, it was a dense and lively day, something that comes through in the heft of the tap list.

The shop is a beer pub in Taito 1-chome, Akihabara. It works well whether you're stopping in for just one drink after work or taking your time on a day off to compare beers. Along with the business hours, the post noted that the shop also supports takeout in growlers and plastic cups. That ability to choose both a pint enjoyed on-site and one opened later at home is one of this shop's strengths.
