According to event information released by Suginoya Beer Workshop, a sake brewery in Fukuoka Prefecture, the 2026 brewery open house was held for a total of 12 days, limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from Saturday, January 31 to Sunday, March 1.

This time’s theme was "Let’s enjoy the pre-opening Sake Brewery Garten!". The Sake Brewery Garten, scheduled to fully open in April, was shown to brewery open house visitors ahead of time and operated as a temporary setup during the event. Visitors were also informed in advance that some operational inconveniences might occur.

One noteworthy point is that there were strong beer-related topics as well, not just sake. In addition to freshly pressed new sake from this season, the venue offered nama-zake and limited-edition sake. At the Sake Brewery Garten, the barrel-draft-exclusive "Garten Lager" was also unveiled, promoted as a drink that could only be tasted on site.

On the other hand, there was a change to one of the regular programs. The announcement clearly stated that the "all-you-can-fill sake lees" event would not be held during the brewery open house period. It is being prepared separately for March, with plans to provide a new announcement later.

For access, direct Suginoya bus service was also announced. For visitors looking to enjoy tastings, the expanded transportation options were an important point not to miss.

Suginoya says on its official website that it is a sake brewery based in Fukuoka, Hakata, and Itoshima, founded in Meiji 3, and that it produces sake, local sake, and craft beer. This brewery open house, which layers a new experience hub called the Sake Brewery Garten onto a long brewing history, seems to have been an event that signaled the brewery’s next phase.
