Beer House Hobbit, a beer pub in Hirakata, Osaka, tapped two new beers on June 15. In its post, the bar highlighted a bitter, hop-forward West Coast IPA and an Earl Grey–based bitter ale, making for a lineup that leans into both sharp bitterness and aromatic depth.

The new beers are Camado Brewery’s "Escape the Routine" and Minoh Beer’s "Kocha Bitter." "Escape the Routine" is described as a West Coast IPA with rich hop aroma, orange and pine notes, and a firm bitterness. "Kocha Bitter" is a bitters-style beer brewed with high-quality Earl Grey tea leaves, bringing gentle malt sweetness, restrained bitterness, and a bright bergamot aroma.

Beer House Hobbit rotates draft beers from breweries around Japan, which makes it a dependable stop for fresh tap beer near Keihan Hirakata-shi Station. The June 15 tap list also included beers from Hansharo Beer Brewing, Matsue Beer Hearn, Shima Brewery, and Great Dane Brewing, covering pilsner, saison, IPA, and more.

Food options such as a fresh vegetable plate, fish cake, grilled beef, and pork loin steak were also available. For drinkers who like to compare styles, this is a neat opportunity to start with a crisp, bitter IPA and move to a softer, tea-framed bitter ale in the same visit.
