New Tap Release

As the latest tap update at Kanpai! Brewing (1F/Granzoo), two beers have newly gone on offer.

- Nozokizaka Kölsch (ABV 5% / IBU 20 / SRM 3)
- Sakurazaka Pale Ale (ABV 5% / IBU 32)

Tasting Highlights

"Nozokizaka Kölsch" is built around the style's signature gentle, inviting aroma and light mouthfeel. A subtle malt character and crisp drinkability are joined by nuances reminiscent of kumquat and lemon, finishing clean and refreshing.

"Sakurazaka Pale Ale" stands out for its bright aroma that brings citrus peel to mind. It opens with a light touch, then follows a clear bitterness with cherry and berry-like flavors. Fruitiness and sweetness are kept in check, resulting in a well-balanced beer that is easy to keep drinking.

About the Venue

The shop is a brewpub located in Sekiguchi, Bunkyo Ward. Its appeal lies in being able to follow fresh taps alongside a meal, and occasions like this, when different styles can be compared side by side, make the pleasure of being a regular feel especially tangible. A good progression is to start with the light Kölsch and move on to the Pale Ale with its hop-driven aroma.

If you love beer, this is one you will want to check out while the current taps are still available.
