Sakazuki Brewing in Adachi, Tokyo used its July 31 post to announce the tap lineup for Saturday, August 1, while also introducing a new batch of `shy girl`. The update combines the day’s beer list with a detailed note on how the brewery adjusted one of its regularly brewed beers.

August 1 tap list

The lineup covers 15 beers. It starts with `shy girl` as a Bohemian Pilsner, followed by beers such as `Hibi-Dandan` as an American Pale Ale, `Komorebi` as a fruit beer, `Shosin Weizen` as a Bamberg-style Weiss Rauch, `Himitsu Kichi` as a saison with mugwort, `Kuroageha` as a German Schwarz, `Stardust` as a Hazy IPA, `Kiss Me` as a specialty beer, and `FUKAYOMI` as a peated Scotch ale. The list shows a broad range of styles, from clean lagers to more distinctive experimental offerings.

New batch of `shy girl`

The main news is the switch of the second-floor restaurant tap `shy girl` from an older batch to a new one. Sakazuki Brewing says the new concept is to make the beer "clean and crisp" while still bringing out its strengths. The brewery explains that it wanted to reduce the heaviness felt in earlier batches and let the beer’s malt sweetness and toast-like character come through more clearly.

Hop selection was also revised. The brewery refreshed the Saaz lot it had used before and returned to an earlier balance that included European noble hops from other countries as well. According to the post, the goal was better overall balance in the glass, even if the hop aroma remains noticeable when tasted carefully.

August schedule

The brewery also noted that `Time Dorobo` is close to selling out and is available only on the second floor. For August, it listed `Heat stroke` on the 6th, a special opening on the 9th, and `Ame no Tooriame` on the 12th as food-pairing dates. The post presents August as a month of steady rotation, with both core beers and date-specific releases lined up across the month.
