Sakaduki Brewing, based in Adachi, Tokyo, has announced that it will remain open on Monday, September 21. As a typhoon is expected to approach the area, visitors should check weather and transportation conditions before heading out.

The tap list includes “shy girl,” a Bohemian pilsner; “Mizusawa 15 UDON ALE,” a Belgian saison brewed with udon; “Komorebi,” a sour ale made with fully ripened Nanko ume plums; and “Natsu no Kioku,” a fruit beer featuring white peach and rosemary.

Other selections include “Reisei to Jonetsu,” a chili beer with Tora-no-o chili, lemon, and mint; “Kuroageba,” a German schwarzbier; “Stardust,” a hazy IPA; “Heat stroke,” a passion fruit and tequila fruit beer; and “Natsu no Tooriame,” an American IPA. The lineup also features “KISS ME,” a peanut-chocolate milk stout, the Pink Boots collaboration “Ao,” the peated Scotch ale “FUKAYOMI,” and Super Dry.

Because of the Silver Week holiday schedule, the brewery’s regular pairing day will move from Wednesday to Thursday, September 24. The featured beer will be an American pale ale, described as a balanced, food-friendly beer with moderate hop aroma, a lively body, and restrained bitterness.

The pairing dish will be mapo eggplant. Rich eggplant, minced meat, fermented bean sauces, and spices are expected to work with the pale ale’s refreshing bitterness and lightness. After a long run of flavor-forward beers, the event will also highlight Sakaduki Brewing’s appreciation for the appeal of a straightforward pale ale.
