Canal brewing taps Nara Brewing’s EIGHTY EIGHT and announces FUJI ROCK plans
Canal brewing, a brewery and craft beer specialty spot in Oimachi, Tokyo, has shared its latest tap list. The lineup is led by Nara Brewing’s EIGHTY EIGHT, with styles ranging from IPA to hard seltzer, and the post also notes an appearance at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2026.
Canal brewing, located at 1-26-4 Oi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, shared its latest tap list. The post says the shop stayed well chilled despite the humid weather and that a playlist inspired by FUJI ROCK was playing in the store.
The featured beer of the day was Nara Brewing’s "EIGHTY EIGHT (SAISON w/GREEN TEA)". According to the post, it is refreshing and easy to drink, with a subtle tea aroma. Given more time in the glass, the green tea character becomes more defined, making it a fitting pour for a hot, sticky day.
The "Today’s Tap List" also included Canal brewing’s "C (IPA)", open air’s "shoreline (hazy ipa)", DD4D BREWING’s "4 O'Clock Let's Call it a Day (Brut IPA)", Shizuoka Brewing’s "yuzu pils (GERMAN PILSNER with YUZU ZEST)", FLORA FERMENTATION’s "Nektar - Berry & Pear- (Fruits Sour Ale)", Nomcraft Brewing’s "Porter -Nitro Ver-", CRAFT BANK x Private Coffee School’s "COFFEE STOUT", and CRAFT BANK’s "LIME CRIME (Hard Seltzer with LIME)". The selection covers IPA, pilsner, sour ale, porter, and hard seltzer, giving drinkers a broad range of options.
The post also highlights upcoming events. Canal brewing plans to appear at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL 2026 from July 24 to 26, followed by a Canal brewing Tap Take Over on August 8 and a Shanty Curry event on August 25. Alongside its regular service in Oimachi, the brewery keeps extending its presence through these off-site events.
