Koenji brewpub And Beer has brought out a seasonal collaboration beer. In a post on Wednesday, April 8, "Super-Ripe Kishu Nanko Ume ~Weizen~" was announced as a new release. Brewed in collaboration with Ume Boys, it is a Fruit Weizen with 7% ABV.

The foundation of the brew is super-ripe Kishu Nanko ume from Minabe Town, Wakayama. The plums were turned into syrup with rock sugar to thoroughly draw out their essence, then matured together with a Weizen that has clove- and banana-like flavors. The plums used were harvested in 2025, and the fact that the flavor is drawn out over time is also part of this beer's character. For anyone who likes fruit beers with a clearly defined fruit profile, this is one to watch.

The shop information is also very practical in true Koenji fashion. It is open continuously from 11:30 to 22:00, lunch is served from 11:30 to 15:00, and happy hour runs from 15:00 to 18:00. Beer takeout is accepted from 9:30 to 22:00, with bottles, PET bottles, plastic cups, and growlers all supported. The post also recommended the terrace seats on sunny days.

In addition, from Wednesday, April 8 through Tuesday, April 14, the beer will also be sold in a WEEKLY promotion at Isetan Shinjuku's "Isetan Craft Beer Bar." On Thursday, April 9, Friday, April 10, and Sunday, April 12, company representative Mr. Ando is scheduled to be on site. Whether you drink it in the shop or meet it at the department store, this is a Weizen from Koenji's brewpub with a bright plum aroma worth watching.
