In a April 6 post, Craft Beer Spot Hathor in the Osaka-Kyobashi area announced new taps under the heading "three kegs opened today." The three additions are Mugi no Manimani from Isekadoya Beer, Honey Saison from Minoh Beer, and House IPA Real Ale ver from Shiga Kogen Beer.
The shop also listed its draft beers available today inside, bringing the total to 12 drafts. The lineup is:
- Braumeister / Kirin Brewery
- Sentinel (Lookout) / Dew Dew Ciel!
- Mugi no Manimani / Isekadoya Beer
- Kanpai Peach Ale / T.Y. Harbor
- Honey Saison / Minoh Beer
- Underwater Luminous / Nara Brewing
- Yuya Boys IPL - Jamboree SP Ver / Oni Densetsu Beer
- Code Breaker / Trademark
- House IPA Real Ale ver / Shiga Kogen Beer
- Sono Sen Real Ale ver / Shiga Kogen Beer
- Peanut Butter Milk Stout / Belching Beaver
- Brain-Melting Ultra Heaven 3xIPA / Isekadoya Beer
It is a lineup that mixes breweries from Japan and overseas. From light lagers to saison, peach ale, IPA, and stout, the selection covers a wide range, making it easy to compare styles side by side. In particular, Shiga Kogen Beer has two entries including the Real Ale version, so it should be possible to enjoy the different expressions of the same brewery.
As noted in the post, Hathor is a standing-style operation based around table seating, giving it a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere. It is a convenient place for anything from dropping in for a single drink to spending the night comparing several beers, and it was the kind of content worth remembering as a candidate when looking for craft beer in Kyobashi.
