Beer O'clock taps Shiga Kogen Beer's 'ITALIAN-STYLE PILS!?' and a botanical cider
Beer O'clock, a beer pub in Chiba's Fujimi area, has introduced two guest pours: Shiga Kogen Beer's 'ITALIAN-STYLE PILS!?' (Italian Pilsner, 5.0%) and Son of the Smith Hard Cider's 'Satoyama Research Akaezomatsu' (Botanical Cider, 7.0%). Both are aroma-driven drinks that should work well with food.
New TAP
Beer O'clock in Fujimi, Chiba City, shared a new guest-tap lineup on Instagram. This time it features Shiga Kogen Beer's 'ITALIAN-STYLE PILS!?' (Italian Pilsner / 5.0%) and Son of the Smith Hard Cider's 'Satoyama Research Akaezomatsu' (Botanical Cider / 7.0%). It is a nice mix of a crisp beer and a botanical cider.
Shiga Kogen Beer's 'ITALIAN-STYLE PILS!?' is built around classic European hops plus the brewery's own 'Shinshu Hayase,' with 100% special Italian barley as the base malt. The beer is described as having a noble hop aroma with floral and herbal notes, a touch of acidity, and a dry finish.
The other pour, Son of the Smith Hard Cider's 'Satoyama Research Akaezomatsu,' brings together Fuji apples, kaya, Akaezomatsu, and elderflower. The result is a botanical cider with soft fruit aroma, a fresh conifer-like impression, fine carbonation, and a smooth texture that leaves a calm, lingering finish.
Beer O'clock is a Chiba beer pub that also mentions its all-day service and freshly cleaned air-conditioning in the post. For drinkers who like following rotating guest taps, it is the kind of place where a well-structured pilsner and an aromatic cider can both be enjoyed alongside food.
