A Tokushima-style beer finished with sudachi and honey

At T.S.Brewery・Yakitori Sakagura Yoitori, Awa Beer’s "Shinmachigawa Sudachi Honey" was introduced with a new design label. This specialty honey beer mixes sudachi juice from Tokushima Prefecture with honey. It has an alcohol content of 5% and an IBU of 8. Poured into a glass, its light orange color stands out, followed by the refreshing citrus note of sudachi and then the soft sweetness of honey.

Why it pairs well with yakitori

Yoitori is a brewpub located on the basement first floor of Tokushima Station Clement Plaza. Its strength lies in letting guests enjoy freshly brewed beer made in-house alongside charcoal-grilled yakitori. In addition to yakitori made with Tokushima Prefecture’s Awaodori chicken and mature chicken, the calm space with a noren curtain at the counter makes it easy to stop by alone. "Shinmachigawa Sudachi Honey," with its light acidity and sweetness, pairs well with salty skewers and chicken fat, making it easy to enjoy as a food-pairing beer.

An award-winning local beer

This beer won a silver award at the International Beer Cup 2015. For people in Tokushima who want to enjoy craft beer nearby, it is worth remembering as a brew that makes use of local citrus and honey. Tasting it at the station basement together with freshly grilled yakitori creates a glass that naturally captures the feeling of Tokushima.
