Camado Brewery HAKOFUNE in Mizunami, Gifu, has posted its weekend schedule and tap list for Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2. This week is regular service, with no special event planned. On Saturday and Sunday, the bar will also serve shaved ice from noon to 6 p.m., making it an easy stop for anyone who missed out during the summer festival season.
HAKOFUNE is the brewery's attached beer bar. It offers six draft taps in a small, approachable space, and the beer is served in locally developed ceramic cups that reflect the Tono area’s pottery culture. The bar is also close to Kamado Station, which makes it convenient for visitors coming by train. Food is available as well, so it works both as a drinking stop and as a place to sit down for a meal.
This Week’s Tap List
- YURU Red Tea Ale / 5.0% is on its last keg. It uses Eldorado and CRYO POP hops, and will be replaced by Anky Lager / 5.5% once it kicks.
- Natsuzora Sansho Ale / 5.0% is a pale ale built around sansho spice.
- Fond de White / 5.0% is a light Belgian white.
- Escape the Routine / 6.0% is a West Coast IPA with a firm bitter edge.
- Discovery#1 High Aroma Hazy IPA / 6.0% belongs to the brewery's 門川芳香研究所 series.
- Kawachi Bankan Stout / 5.0% brings citrus character to the stout side of the board.
With red tea, sansho, wheat beer, IPA, hazy hop aroma, and stout all on the list, this is a lineup that offers a wide range of styles from one bar. For beer fans, it is the kind of week that rewards slow tasting rather than just a single pour.
