17th anniversary event in Ebetsu

North Island Beer will hold its 17th Anniversary Celebration on August 16 at EBRI, a renovated brick-factory complex in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, about a five-minute walk from JR Nopporo Station. The event runs from 11:00 to 18:00. In its Instagram post, the brewery also noted that advance tickets are available with a 500-yen discount, and that paper tickets can be purchased at the Ebetsu brewery, Beer Bar North Island, Cocomocha, and EBRI. The all-you-can-drink ticket limited to the first 50 guests has already sold out.

Music joins the beer lineup

The post highlights the fourth anniversary act, Brick Party & BREW THE GROOVE. Brick Party contributors DJ hongkong and DJ KEITARO will perform, joined by kai, Matsuyuka, and Naoking from BREW THE GROOVE, a regular event series at Beer Bar North Island. The brewery says the selection is designed to be enjoyable for both adults and children, making the celebration a blend of beer and music rather than a beer-only gathering.

A brewery rooted in Hokkaido

North Island Beer was started by brewers who trained in Canada, and the company describes its philosophy as “Beer is Art.” Its lineup includes five regular beers plus limited and seasonal releases. The brewery also works with local ingredients, including Ebetsu-grown wheat for its Weizen and Hokkaido hops for limited beers. This anniversary event reflects both the brewery’s craft focus and its connection to the Ebetsu community.
