As the style name suggests, "Yokohama Saison" is based on saison, which means "season." The description also touches on the style's historical roots as a beer Belgian farmers once drank to quench their thirst between summer jobs in the fields, while presenting it as a drink suited to modern life.

The flavor profile centers on a spicy, floral aroma typical of saison. On top of that, it layers citrus and tropical character from the much-talked-about hop Krush, aiming for a beer that feels both light and expansive in aroma. With warmer weather approaching, it seems designed to be easy to enjoy on its own or alongside a meal.

On its official site, Yokohama Beer has long promoted itself as a brewery that emphasizes its connection to local life in Yokohama under the motto, "Beer that connects people." In this post as well, the message "A breather in your busy daily life" appears, making it more than just a seasonal product launch; it can be seen as a proposal that also considers when and how people will drink it.
