MOONRISE KINGDOM taps Tokyo Aleworks' Emerald Paradise IPA
The beer pub MOONRISE KINGDOM in Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku Ward, added Tokyo Aleworks' West Coast IPA "Emerald Paradise IPA" as a new tap on its April 16 service day. It can be enjoyed alongside house-made baguette dishes and 30 kinds of domestic and imported bottled beers.
At the beer pub MOONRISE KINGDOM in Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, the April 16 service announcement featured Tokyo Aleworks' Emerald Paradise IPA as a new craft beer on tap.
Emerald Paradise IPA is a West Coast IPA dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Simcoe, and Citra. The post describes it as having a bright aroma bursting with muscat, citrus, and tropical notes, along with a balance of fruitiness, drinkability, and a dank aftertaste. It sounds like a clearly defined pint for IPA lovers.
On the food side, freshly baked house-made baguette dishes are front and center, with items such as whitebait and lemon bruschetta, horse mackerel ceviche, sautéed bamboo shoots, the KINGDOM burrito, bottarga lemon pasta, and chicken quesadillas. Built around Mexican and Italian dishes, the lineup seems easy to pair with craft beer.
The bar also stocks 30 craft beer bottles from Japan and overseas, so beyond the new tap there is plenty of choice. Hours are lunch 12:00-14:30 and dinner 17:30-23:00 (last order 22:00). It's the kind of spot worth keeping in mind for a day when you want to enjoy beer and food together in Nishi-Shinjuku.
