Event overview

Ryusendo Wakka, a brewery-connected local hub in Iwaizumi, Iwate, will host 'Iwaizumi Shorthorn Beef & Yamaguchi Taiko & Vibeer Feast' on Saturday, July 25. The venue describes it as the second installment of its summer event series. The main feature this time is shorthorn beef raised on the land of Iwaizumi, which will be grilled and served on site.

Food and beer

The official site says Ryusendo Wakka offers a taproom serving beer made with Ryusendo spring water and local ingredients, along with a shop and brewery. It also notes that the craft beer is produced by Izumikin Sake Brewery, a long-established sake maker, and is positioned as a new local beer with a clean taste and crisp finish. For this event, the brewery's house beer and the new release 'Hoshimeguri', launched on July 7, are expected to pair well with the shorthorn beef.

What to expect on the day

Yamaguchi Taiko from Miyako City will join the event, with a performance scheduled from noon. The venue will also feature pop-up booths by resin artist RANTANA and kombu craftsman Yuji Shisaku. For people who cannot attend in person, the event will be streamed live on YouTube. It is a local gathering that combines food, music, and brewery culture in one place.
