HOP MAN, a beer pub in Chigasaki, Kanagawa, announced a new tap in an Instagram post on August 20. The beer added to the lineup is WEST COAST BREWING's "Game Night". It is a West Coast Double IPA brewed as a collaboration with Kyoto Brewing, and it comes in at 7.5% ABV. As a second-floor beer pub with a rotating draft lineup, HOP MAN adds another clearly distinctive beer to its taps.

The post says the beer was designed to emphasize hop-driven "dank" character. Strata CGX, Strata, Luminosa, and Idaho7 were selected, with dry hopping carried out in three separate additions. The aroma is described as fresh and green, like newly harvested hops, followed by tropical fruit notes reminiscent of passion fruit, along with woody and floral nuances. A pleasant bitterness rounds out the finish, making the beer both expressive and balanced.

HOP MAN is the kind of Chigasaki beer pub where tap changes matter. When an IPA with this much aromatic range and defined bitterness lands on the board, it reinforces the appeal of stopping in to see what is pouring next.
