A limited release born from a 16th-anniversary project

The brewery North Island Beer in Ebetsu, Hokkaido, will release its limited beer "GinZY (Ginzy)" on April 10. This beer was born from the "beer naming rights" won at the company's 16th anniversary celebration, and its name carries the story of the family who obtained those rights.

Finished as a Hazy IPA

"GinZY" is a Hazy I.P.A. in style. The hops used are Luminosa, Strata, and Simcoe, and the ABV is 6%. According to the official information, sweet, vibrant aromas reminiscent of peach and tropical fruit are layered with citrus notes like orange and mandarin. Luminosa's bright, juicy tropical character, Strata's depth reminiscent of passion fruit, and Simcoe's citrus aroma create a layered bouquet.

In addition, it makes generous use of "Haruyutaka," the wheat Ebetsu is proud of, resulting in a soft, juicy, light finish. The design appears to have been made with a balance of hazy appearance, fruity flavor, and drinkability in mind.
