Hop BroThe star is Isekadoya Beer’s Honkaku IPA revival. It’s a 25th anniversary US IPA with citrus, tropical fruit, and berry notes, plus solid body and a really clean finish.
MugiOoh! But when you say US IPA, it suddenly sounds like a quiz question. What does that actually taste like?
Hop BroIt basically means big aroma, crisp bite. You get that bright American hop character up front, but it doesn’t feel heavy, so your next sip arrives way too fast.
MugiA dangerously drinkable beer, got it! But I’m also curious about Baeren’s Ihatov Sea lager. Sea? In beer? Are we allowed to do that?
Hop BroYes, because it’s a Salty Lager. They use Iwate-grown hops and sea salt for a light mineral edge, so it lands super crisp and made-for-hot-weather.
MugiNo way! Salty and crushable sounds like post-sports hydration with better branding. Then what about the sansho beer, does it attack your tongue?
Hop BroIwatekura’s sansho herb ale does surprise you, but in a good way. It starts spicy, then a citrusy lift comes through, so it feels both very Japanese and oddly modern.
MugiHold on, and there’s also Minoh Beer x BREWSKI’s Hazy IPA? This menu has too much going on. My throat has already made a purchase decision.

MugiAnd they still have Pilsner Urquell and SORACHI 1984, so the range is ridiculous. Add house-smoked food and meat platters, and I want a seat before I want a plan.
