North Island Beer, a Hokkaido brewery based in Ebetsu and founded by brewers trained in Canada, has built its identity around the idea that Beer is Art. The brewery keeps five regular beers in rotation while also producing monthly limited and seasonal releases. LEMOGRA is the latest addition to that lineup.

Scheduled for release on August 18, 2026, LEMOGRA is a Mexican lager with lemongrass. It is listed at 5% ABV and 10 IBU, with Warrior hops and lemongrass as an additional ingredient. According to the Instagram post, the limited beer will be rolled out as a canned product.

The beer also uses lemongrass from Ambitious Farm in Ebetsu and Hokkaido corn grits from Ebetsu Seifun, giving the release a clear local connection. The profile is described as bright and herbal, with a restrained bitterness and an easy-drinking finish.

For a brewery that often blends regional ingredients with a precise style concept, LEMOGRA fits neatly into North Island Beer’s approach: a locally rooted beer with a clean, seasonal character.
